From Intended Harm to Prosperity!

Who was Daniel? He was placed over an hundred and twenty princes who were ruling over the whole kingdom at that time. Over these princes were placed three presidents, of whom Daniel was first. Daniel was preferred above the presidents and the princes because he had an excellent spirit! Daniel was faithful! Daniel kneeled upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God and Daniel served God continually!

Daniel was given a position of authority and those under him were jealous! They intended to find a way to dethrone him! So they went to the king and asked the king to sign a royal decree that would require if anyone asked a petition of any God or man other than the king, for thirty days, he would be cast into the den of lions! Daniel did not change his routine of worship towards God because of threats because Daniel believed in his God!

Daniel was delivered to the lions den but "No manner of hurt was found upon Daniel, because he believed in his God!" God delivered Daniel from the lions den! And God can deliver you too! The Bible says God prospered Daniel. There are blessings on a life that is dedicated to God and to righteous living in spite of the threat of harm.

On the other hand, those who had meant Daniel harm were thrown to the lions, but wait...not just them...but their wives and their children too...and the lions devoured them before they even hit the floor of the den. Remember that our sin does not just affect us, but it also affects our spouse and our children too. May God help us to learn from Daniel. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Look to the Lord in prayer many times a day. Don't be afraid of evil tidings. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding! In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. God loves you. God is for you. You are precious to him. Believe Him and be helped. God bless you and yours.

Daniel chapters 3&4 is such a beautiful story. It has ugly parts, but it is so wonderful to see what God can do...King Nebuchadnezzar was lifted up in PRIDE. Proverbs 6 tells us that God hates PRIDE.
